Lilli Grenvicz left a lasting impact on those around her, embodying care, generosity and a love for gardening, animals and students in need.

She was heavily involved with the Atlanta Humane Society, Athens Area Humane Society, Golden Retriever Rescue of Atlanta, Atlanta Botanical Gardens and the UGA Botanical Garden. Lilli was a teacher and enjoyed tutoring and mentoring her students, especially those who were unsure of their path into either higher education or a vocational/technical career. In short, Lilli was a very special individual, who always put others first and truly cared about everyone.

Following her passing in February 2023, Lilli’s husband, Ed, made it his mission to keep Lilli’s memory alive through the loves she had including gardening, animals and unmet needs of those in the community. For instance, Lilli had her own gardening style that was informal, eclectic and showcased her favorite plant, the hydrangea. Ed named the SW Flower area of the UGA Botanical Garden in her honor along with endowing the Lilli Grenvicz Director of Horticulture and Grounds. In honor of her love for animals, there is the Lilli Grenvicz truck with the Athens Humane Society that helps transport animals from the Athens Humane Society north to shelters that need animals for their adoptions.

Now, to support her love for students and those with unmet needs in the Georgia Club area, we have the Lilli Grenvicz Memorial Fund (LGMF) with The Georgia Club Foundation. The LGMF supports the Lilli Grenvicz Memorial Scholarships for Vocational and Technical education and general funds to help meet the unmet needs of those organizations supported by The Georgia Club Foundation.

The Lilli Grenvicz Memorial Fund (LGMF) will allow The Georgia Club Foundation to share Lilli’s generosity and love to impact the lives of many people!
