Our Mission

“The Georgia Club Foundation is dedicated to serving the unmet educational, spiritual, and basic human needs of persons primarily within the surrounding counties of Barrow, Oconee, and Clarke, and The Georgia Club Community. Through partnerships, volunteer efforts, and fundraising, the Foundation acts as the helping hand that improves and strengthens life in our community.”

About The Foundation

The Georgia Club Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, is a small foundation with a big heart and big expectations. The Georgia Club Foundation has generously donated to diverse community-at-large organizations and has fostered the lives of numerous persons in need since its inception in the fall of 2006. The Foundation continues to demonstrate its passionate ability to raise funds through a combination of popular, well-executed fundraising events, in addition to the annual sponsorships of many open-hearted, generous businesses and individuals. We are privileged to enjoy the faithful volunteer efforts and financial support from The Georgia Club community residents, club members, and others.

It is difficult to determine exactly how many people The Georgia Club Foundation and the Georgia Club neighborhood has helped. We do know that through our donations and volunteer hours, we’ve fed 110 children on the weekends and helped launch a summer through The Oconee Food for Kids program; we help 185 disabled children and young adults live more complete lives through Extra Special People, widening their world experiences; and we support an average of 30 families through our yearly Christmas Adopt-A Family Program in conjunction with local Family Connection organizations, helping them to celebrate the season and for a brief moment forget their worries.  This is merely a small sampling of how the supporters of the Foundation have helped bring compassion to the community.

We can only speculate the true depth and magnitude of our Foundation’s efforts. We will never know which child succeeded because we fed them. We will never know which person was comforted in their final days because we donated to St. Mary’s Hospice. We will never know precisely how many people we have helped live fuller lives and who have then gone on to help others. But then, kindness is not quantifiable.

By conducting business efficiently and effectively, and by thoroughly screening charitable requests to ensure donations immediately and individually reach those in need, The Georgia Club Foundation is able to achieve its short and long term goals of helping to meet the unmet educational, spiritual, and basic human needs of persons residing the northeast Georgia counties surrounding the Georgia Club community.
