Through The Georgia Club Foundation’s fundraising activities and annual sponsorships, many local charitable organizations have received donations to aid in achieving their important missions and the good they bring to the community at large. Below are just a few of the organizations we have supported recently.
Since 2011, we have been blessed to serve over 40,000 children in crisis one book bag at a time!
The Athens YMCA has been a faithful part of the community since March 26, 1857. We serve the Athens area through programs designed for youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Y is for the entire community, and is open to everyone. We are here to serve you, your family and all of our communities while developing your spirit, mind and body.
Barrow County Family Connections
Our mission is to improve the quality of life for all people in Barrow County through community collaboration to strengthen families and promote educational success. We gather local nonprofits, local government, local businesses, local churches, and key school system employees together to network, share resources, and strengthen the safety net for Barrow County families.
Bethel Haven counsels hurting people in our community by giving help, hope, and healing through quality, professional therapeutic services.
Books for Keeps, Inc.
Since 2009, Books for Keeps has given more than 450,000 books to children from low-income areas in grades Pre-K-12th. It’s as simple as giving books to children who may otherwise have none.
Brightpaths Athens is a non-profit organization dedicated to preventing child abuse in all of its forms through education, support, and public awareness.
Camp Twin Lakes
For almost 30 years, Camp Twin Lakes has delivered fully adaptive, medically supportive, and deeply impactful camp experiences to more than 10,000 of Georgia’s children and young adults each year, helping each camper grow in their confidence and experience the joys of childhood.

A Non Profit Organization, Supporting Boy Scout Troup 700 and 5700 in Winder, GA.
Mercy Health Center
Mercy has been providing FREE Medical, Dental, Pharmacy, and Health Education to the low-income uninsured of Clarke, Barrow, Jackson, Madison, Oglethorpe & Oconee counties for more than two decades. We are able to carry out our mission and serve almost 3,000 patients with the help of more than 700 volunteers and generous donations
Statham Public Library
The Statham public library is a proud member of the Piedmont Regional Library System. The mission of the Piedmont Regional Library System is to provide services and materials which will empower people, raise their aspirations, enhance their employability, and build active citizenship and quality of life in the community.
The Sparrow’s Nest – Tour of Homes Beneficiary
The Sparrow’s Nest is a Christian ministry center for those in need. The Athens based facility includes dining rooms, laundry and shower facilities, and spaces to distribute clothing and food.
Oconee Area Resource Council (OARC) – Tour of Homes Beneficiary
The Oconee Area Resource Council (OARC) is a local 501(c) 3 non-profit corporation that serves as the local decision-making body for the Georgia Family Connection. OARC identifies the needs of the community and works to fill those needs by combining resources and services. OARC’s goal is to ensure that all residents of Oconee County will live in a healthy, safe and stable environment.
The two areas of focus for this year – The Food for Kids Program and the Summer Food for Kids Program.
