Scholarship

2018 High School Scholarship Summary:

 

The Georgia Club Foundation posted and received 59 high school senior scholarship applications in 2018 and awarded 16 high school scholarship awards in May of 2018.  Of these students six of the students were graduating from Winder-Barrow High School, five were students graduating from Apalachee High School, and five were graduating from North Oconee High School.  Thirteen of the students received $1000 scholarships and three of the students received $2000 scholarships. The scholarship recipients were enrolled in the following colleges: UGA, Georgia Tech, North Georgia University, and University of Alabama. The Georgia Club Foundation Scholarship Committee was comprised of Dr. Rich Holland, Kathy Branan, Pam McCutcheon, Nannette Varela, Resa Avery, Debbie Cassady and Mary Anne Charron. The Georgia Club Foundation would like to thank The Chu Family Foundation and Dr. Rich Holland for their generosity in supporting The Georgia Club Foundation High School Scholarships.

 

2018 The Georgia Club Employee Application Summary:

 

For the first time in the history of The Georgia Club Foundation, the Foundation awarded some of The Georgia Club employees scholarships to continue their college education.  Three employees were awarded scholarships that allowed them to pursue medical college, finish a degree in physical therapy and complete a degree in business administration. The employees were awarded scholarships between $1700 and $2500. The Georgia Club Foundation Employee Scholarship Committee was comprised of: Karen Nasworthy, Carol Durham, Dour Turner, Tommy Miller, Chris Westbrook and Mary Anne Charron. The Georgia Club Foundation thanks The Chu Family Foundation for providing their support for TGC Employee Scholarship Program.

Up to four financial support scholarships are granted annually to high school students who excel in academics, while participating in sports, club and community service activities, and when also employed. Selected recipients represent at an early age what The Georgia Club Foundation stands for. In addition to these scholarships, the Foundation is opening applications for an Employee Scholarship to employees of the Georgia Club.
